Edimax's EW-7318USg Hi-Gain adapter complies with IEEE802.11g standards and is backward comptiable with IEEE802.11b standards. With a connection speed up to 54Mbps (5 times faster then IEEE802.11b), the adapter easily connects your laptop or desktop computer to your wireless network. You can also connect to any public wireless hotspot for Internet to retrieve e-mail, surf web sites or use instant messaging software.

Installation and configuration is simple. You can configure teh adapter using either Windows wireless utilites or Edimax's own utilities. The adapter supports advanced encryption, like WEP, WPA and WPA2 to secure your wireless connection and with its Turbo Mode feature, it can increase transmission speeds by up to 30% when connecting with other Edimax wireless devices.

This detachable antenna features an extended cable which lets you relocate the antenna to receive the best signal. Also, you can change to any high gain aerial with the RPSMA interface.
